Yashin is a visual creator centered on visual storytelling, extending their work to commercial illustration, picture books, and design.

Yashin’s artistic practice merges traditional and modern techniques. Using the delicate lines of traditional printmaking as the foundation, they integrate digital drawing methods and apply Eastern aesthetic color schemes, creating works that harmonize Eastern and Western elements. This approach results in a unique style that provides a modern interpretation of traditional art.​ In terms of technique, Yashin combines hand drawing with digital tools. Starting with hand-drawn compositions to express creative freedom, they then fine-tune colors and details digitally, achieving a balance between the liveliness of manual illustration and the precision of digital art.

Yashin's commercial illustration projects span brand identity, package, event promotions, publications, websites, and more. Collaborations include esteemed brands like Apple, Balvenie, Glenfiddich, Karuizawa Whisky, Taiwan National Theater & Concert Hall, Golden Bell Awards, Ten Ren's Tea, Taipei Fringe Festival, and 500 times.

In visual comic works, Yashin frequently explores themes such as women's inner conflicts, emotional tension, yearning, and feelings of inferiority. These are presented through visual stories imbued with a gentle, satirical touch, often incorporating absurdity and dissonance from daily life. They experiment with the presentation of visual narratives in physical books, using innovative storytelling techniques and book design to enhance the reading experience and invite readers into the narrative world. Publications include Mirror Mirror iIn My Hand, which addresses social media issues, the sci-fi comic Deeper Blue, and short stories like Cigarettes Before $ex.

Yashin’s work has earned numerous accolades, including Bologna Illustration, Angoulême Digital Comic in France, 3x3 Illustration Award, ASIAGRAPH in Japan, Golden Butterfly Award, and Hiii Illustration Award.
